Iowa has seen a rebirth in its wine industry, according to experts at Iowa State University Extension. In July of 2001, Iowa had 13 wineries, said Craig Tordsen, value-added agriculture specialist. We currently have 44 wineries within the state. The growth has been tremendous.

Google PR: Michigan has over 12,000 acres of grapes most of which are located in Berrien and Van Buren counties in Southwest Michigan. Most of this acreage is Concord and Niagara that is used for grape juice. Concord grape production has declined by almost a thousand acres due to sluggish demand.
