Kale is a form of cabbage (Brassica oleracea Acephala Group) in which the central leaves do not form a head. It is considered to be closer to wild cabbage than most domesticated forms.
Crop & Food Research [BROAD sheet] Number 57 October 1997 Kapeti Kale Paul Lysaght and Endel Johnstone discuss the grazing of a Kapeti kale crop. Kapeti kale is a brassica used for over winter grazing and mid to late summer feed for all animals.
Siberian kale differs from Common or Scotch Kale in that the foliage is bluish-green in color and is less curled. Cultural conditions, season, and use are similar to Common Kale.
