Scientists from Imperial College and the Royal Brompton Hospital have found that a substance in the skins of red fruits such as grapes and plums, and in red wine, could help asthma sufferers.
Laboratory experiments show that an extract of the skin of muscadine grapes can inhibit growth of prostate cancer cells in the laboratory. Investigators also show that muscadine grape skin extract does not contain significant amounts of resveratrol.
